I should be human BEING

On Friday night (21 Aug 2009) IDT (Intentional Discipleship Training), the teaching that impact me the most is “It pleases Father God the most is not what I do for Him, but for my character to be conform in the likeness of His Son, our Lord Jesus Christ.”

I should be human BEING, not human DOING.
When my BEING is right, my DOING will be right too.

Romans 8:29 (New International Version)
For those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the likeness of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers.

2 Corinthians 3:18 (English Standard Version)
And we all, with unveiled face, reflecting the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from one degree of glory to another. For this comes from the Lord who is the Spirit.

For Christ's love compels us

Actually, I am just looking for the music for the song “If You Say Go” from Youtube.
Then I found
the song which show part of the movie of “End of the spear”.
“End of the spear” is base on a true story of 5 missionaries who was killed while attempting to evangelize to a tribal people in the mission field.
I heard of this story on my first year as Christian.
Their story inspires many in their walk with Christ, including me.

It is interesting to use Youtube to link up all the related topics.

Holy Ambition: Jim Elliot
Jim Elliot is one of the 5. He made this famous quotation “He is no fool who gives what he cannot keep to gain what he cannot lose.”
The life that he sacrificed brought the breakthrough in a tribal people that is near to extinction as their killed one another.

The
trailer of the movie is attracting for us to watch the movie.

Suppose it is a free online movie.

But I have not figure out how to watch it.

In Youtube, it explains briefly the story of the 5 missionaries.
Beyond The Gates of Splendor - Part 1
Beyond The Gates of Splendor - Part 2

Recently, God keeps remind me to die to my self. Including using Youtube.
And a verse keep ringing in my mind. That is “For Christ's love compels us”. Just did a search for the particular verse.

It is in
2 Corinthians 5:14-15 (New International Version)
14 For Christ's love compels us, because we are convinced that one died for all, and therefore all died. 15 And he died for all, that those who live should no longer live for themselves but for him who died for them and was raised again.

Got reminded again. In our church discipleship training, we are told that when God keeps repeating something in the Bible within a context, it means as emphasis.

God, I heard You.

6 不 喜 欢 不 义 , 只 喜 欢 真 理 ;

The best Insurance plan

Just came back from my church Women breakthrough weekend.

There are many take home lessons.
I am truly grateful to my Lord Jesus Christ for all the good things that happened in the retreat.

Pastor Ann Chan taught us that the best insurance plan is written in the Bible.
Isaiah 46:4
Even to your old age and gray hairs
I (God) am he, I am he who will sustain you.
I have made you and I will carry you;
I will sustain you and I will rescue you.
