19 Nov 10, Friday is our CG fellowship day. This is our first time that we went to sister Y's place; Pinnacle@Duxton on 45th floor. Thank to sister Y for her hospitality. She cooked Japanese curry. And gave us a choice of brown rice or noodle to go with the curry. Both the rice and the noodle go well with the curry, so quite a number of us help ourselves with both. Thank for her thoughtfulness. There is a scale of 5 on the strength of the curry spice, she choice 3, which is just nice.
After a delicious meal, we start our CG program. We had new visitor on that night, so elder sister G, the chair lady asked us to introduce ourselves and the favorite day of our week.
Saturday is the favorite day for quite a number of us as it is our rest day; the day that we can sleep in longer.
For a sister who is a nurse that do shift work, her favorite day is her rest day.
For ACGL, he said his favorite day is Friday because it is CG day. Some said he gave model answer.
Sister T said Monday is her favorite day. Monday is the first day of work week. Instead of feeling Monday blue, she chose to look at the day that she will zest up to work.
Elder brother M said Sunday is his favorite day as it is the day that he goes to church to worship God.
Some like Wednesday as after 2 more days, it will be their rest day.
CGL said her favorite day is Today. As tomorrow is unknown and yesterday had past. But she can make the best out of Today. Wow! What a profound answer.
After the introduction, we have our worship session and proceed with our Bible study and prayer for one another.
We also did our memory verse for the week; that is Isaiah 40:31
"but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint."
We had a great night. We most likely firm up our Christmas party on 19 Dec, Sunday afternoon as we agreed to help out as a CG on 18 Dec on a community event.
Thank God for being in our midst.
